    About Miss Samantha Tross

    GMC number: 3668434

    Year qualified: 1992

Place of primary qualification: University of London

Miss Samantha Tross received her medical degree from University College London in 1992. She rotated through several renowned teaching hospitals in London, including St George's Hospital and the Royal London. She subsequently received Fellowship training and gained valuable clinical experience overseas at world-renowned centres in Toronto, Canada, and Sydney, Australia. Here, she further honed her skills in primary and revision hip and knee replacement, computer-assisted arthroplasty, hip resurfacing, and knee arthroscopy.

In 2005, Miss Tross became a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon. She specialises in conditions affecting the hip and knee, offering primary and revision hip replacement surgery, primary knee replacement surgery, knee arthroscopic procedures, and robotic surgery. She is an expert in minimally invasive (keyhole) hip surgery, which involves minimal soft tissue and muscle dissection, resulting in less pain, less bleeding, faster recovery, and a smaller scar. She also has a keen interest in hip pain in young adults.

Miss Tross is dedicated to providing a high standard of clinical treatment, effective communication, and a holistic approach to patient care. Academically, she serves as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Medical Case Reports and is an examiner for Imperial Medical School finals. She is actively involved in teaching and has lectured on basic surgical skills courses run by the Royal Society of Medicine and the Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland.
