Dr Sanjay Mehta is a highly qualified General Practitioner based at The London General Practice, Harley Street. He graduated from Imperial College London in 2013 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Haematology. Dr Mehta is dual accredited with Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) and the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP).
Dr Mehta joined The London General Practice in 2018, where he also serves as the Clinical Audit Lead. His early career included roles at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge University Hospitals, covering various medical, psychiatric, and surgical specialties. He completed his General Practice Speciality Training within the Oxford deanery, primarily at John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. Dr Mehta has extensive experience working in NHS GP practices in both London and Oxford and has contributed significantly during the COVID-19 pandemic by working in COVID hubs. Additionally, he has experience with a leading private online consultation platform.
Dr Mehta has a Diploma of Child Health from the Royal College of Paediatrics & Child Health. He has co-authored original research published in the Archives of Disease in Childhood and presented his findings at a national conference at Somerville College, University of Oxford.
In 2021, Dr Mehta was appointed as a Specialist Advisor for the Care Quality Commission (CQC), where he advises on Primary Medical Services and Integrated Care. He has also served as a Medical Consultant for the BBC and frequently provides expert commentary on health topics in the national press, including The Times.
