Dr Saqib Chowdhary is a highly esteemed Consultant in Cardiology and Coronary Intervention at Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester. He qualified from St Thomas' Hospital, London, and has undergone extensive training in cardiology and coronary intervention at University Hospital Birmingham, Walsgrave Hospital (Coventry), and the University Health Network in Toronto, Canada.

Dr Chowdhary has a wealth of experience in general cardiology, with particular expertise in angina, hypertension, and heart failure. His sub-specialist interests include coronary angioplasty and TAVI (transcatheter aortic valve implantation). He is proficient in complex stenting procedures, including radial access procedures and chronic total occlusions (CTO). He also utilises intra-coronary imaging techniques such as IVUS and OCT to enhance stenting outcomes and performs transcutaneous septal ablation for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
