Frequently asked questions

  • Why do you do what you do?

I chose to become a GP because I love the continuity of care – being able to look after individuals and their families throughout their lives. I enjoy getting to know my patients and their backgrounds, which helps me provide more personalised and effective care. I also enjoy the variety in general practice – I love that anything can walk through the door and I get to take a detective-style approach to diagnosis. I started private GP work alongside the NHS to give myself more time with patients and access to better resources. In private practice, I can work the way I feel is best for my patients.

  • What are the common symptoms that your patients tend to present with?

As a GP, I see a wide range of presentations, but many of my patients come to me for:

    • Women’s health concerns, particularly hormonal issues
    • Contraceptive advice and coil fittings
    • Mental health support
    • Paediatric concerns – I enjoy seeing children
    • Sports injuries – I’m physically active and enjoy this area
    • Lifestyle-related concerns such as fatigue, sleep issues, or weight management

  • What are the treatments that you're able to offer your patients?

I offer a range of GP and procedural services, including:

    • 30-minute GP consultations
    • ECGs
    • Blood tests (additional cost)
    • Imaging referrals – usually within a week
    • Coil fittings and removals (copper and hormonal)
    • Joint injections – steroid and ostenil
    • Ring pessary insertions for vaginal prolapse
    • Lifestyle medicine consultations (45-minute initial session)
    • Weight management support, including mounjaro

  • What are your areas of sub-specialist interest?

My main sub-specialist interest is Lifestyle Medicine – I’m currently completing my core accreditation with the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine. I’m passionate about how lifestyle changes (nutrition, sleep, exercise, stress) can significantly impact long-term health. I’m also particularly interested in:

    • Women’s Health (especially contraception and hormonal issues)
    • Children’s Health
