Dr Shaheen Khan is a Consultant in Palliative Medicine at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. He also holds honorary contracts at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Lewisham Healthcare NHS Trust. Dr Khan's areas of expertise include pain management, complex symptom control, advance care planning, patient safety, and risk management. He is dedicated to postgraduate medical education and service development, providing a holistic approach to patient care.

Dr Khan graduated from Kings, Guy's and St. Thomas' Medical School in 2003, earning a first-class honours degree in BSc Neuroscience in 2000. He completed an MSc in Palliative Care from King's College London in 2010 and obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Leadership in 2011. He is the Training Programme Director for the KHP Palliative Medicine STR training programme in London, Kent, Surrey, and Sussex.

Dr Khan treats patients with serious illnesses, including cancer, heart disease, respiratory problems, and neurological disorders. He collaborates closely with clinical teams, relatives, and carers to ensure comprehensive care. His interests include running courses and seminars on pain control, medication safety, and advance care planning for medical practitioners and hospital staff. Dr Khan is a member of several professional organisations, including the Medical Protection Society, the Association for Palliative Medicine, and the Royal College of Physicians.
