Mr Shaheen Khazali is internationally renowned as an expert in the field of endometriosis and complex laparoscopic and robotic surgery. He has devoted his career to caring for women with advanced endometriosis and is regularly invited to speak at national and international congresses on the subject.

After completing his basic surgical training in London and Cambridge, Mr Khazali embarked upon his specialty training at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. He then ventured to the south of England to continue his training, working at hospitals in Poole, Southampton, and Winchester. Mr Khazali is also an honorary senior lecturer and faculty member at the University of Surrey.

Mr Khazali is the lead surgeon at the Centre for Endometriosis and Minimally Invasive Gynaecology (CEMIG) at the Lister Hospital. CEMIG is the busiest endometriosis centre in the UK, accredited by the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE).

He is a firm believer in patient-centered care and spends a great deal of time listening to his patients and explaining in detail the treatment options available to them, including making them aware of both the pros and cons of each. Mr Khazali’s PAs are always on hand to support his patients with any questions, going out of their way to make each feel well looked after.
