Professor Shakeel R. Saeed, MBBS, M.D., F.R.C.S (ORL), is a distinguished surgeon and researcher specialising in disorders of the ear, hearing, balance, facial nerve, and skull base. He serves as a Professor of Otology/Neuro-otology at University College London, Ear Institute, and is a Consultant ENT and Skullbase Surgeon at the Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital, and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London. Additionally, he holds an honorary consultancy at Guy's St Thomas' and King's College Hospital, London.

Graduating from King's College, London in 1985, Professor Saeed was awarded his Doctorate thesis in 2003 and has held his Professorial appointment since 2008. He has extensive experience in lateral skull base surgery and implantation otology, having performed over 2000 complex ear surgeries, 400 cochlear implant surgeries, and 500 vestibular schwannoma and other skull base surgeries. He is also proficient in auditory brainstem implant surgeries for both adults and children.

Professor Saeed is actively involved in otological research, contributing to over 120 peer-reviewed publications and presenting at more than 250 scientific meetings globally. His clinical interests include otology, neurotology, lateral skull base surgery, cochlear implants, and facial palsy. He treats conditions such as hearing loss, dizziness, tinnitus, vestibular schwannoma, glomus tumour, cholesteatoma, otosclerosis, facial nerve tumours, superior semicircular canal dehiscence, Meniere's Disease, and benign positional vertigo.

Outside of his professional life, Professor Saeed enjoys spending time with his family and is a lifelong Manchester City Football Club supporter.
