Dr Shouvik Saha is a Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist at the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, where he has been serving since 2014. He specialises in advanced imaging techniques for diagnosing and treating a variety of musculoskeletal disorders, including conditions affecting the joints, muscles, tendons, nerves, and spine.
Dr Saha graduated with distinction from Guy's, King's & St. Thomas' School of Medicine in 2006. Prior to this, he earned a first-class honours degree in Radiological Sciences from King's College London. His radiology training was conducted at Guy's & St. Thomas' Hospital, followed by a subspecialty fellowship in Musculoskeletal Radiology at McGill University Hospitals in Canada. He also completed visiting fellowships at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre Oxford, and Jikeii University Hospital Tokyo.
In his NHS role, Dr Saha is the trust lead for spinal imaging and rheumatological imaging. His special interests include the imaging of arthritis, sports injuries, and spinal disorders. He has published extensively in scientific journals and textbooks, and his work has been presented at both national and international conferences. Additionally, he has served as faculty on courses teaching musculoskeletal MRI and ultrasound and has been a lead radiologist for training musculoskeletal radiology trainees at the West Midlands Imaging Academy.
