Dr Simon Sporton is a highly experienced Consultant Cardiologist at London Bridge Hospital, where he also offers private consultations. He has been specialising in cardiology since 1994 and has focused on the treatment of heart rhythm disorders, known as arrhythmias, since 1999.

Dr Sporton graduated from the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine, University of London, in 1991. He then completed his postgraduate training in Leeds and London, with a sub-specialisation in managing heart rhythm problems. In 2003, he was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist at University College London Hospitals before moving to St. Bartholomew's Hospital. Currently, he serves as the Deputy Medical Director of the Barts Heart Centre, one of the largest specialist heart centres in Europe.

Dr Sporton is an expert in the investigation and treatment of heart rhythm issues. His treatments include catheter ablation, permanent pacemaker implantation (including leadless pacemakers), implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) implantation, and cardiac resynchronisation therapy (CRT) for heart failure.
