Frequently asked questions
Why do you do what you do?
I began my career in surgical training, but quickly realised I was only ever seeing a fraction of someone’s health story. As an NHS GP, I valued the role deeply but found the 10-minute appointment model left little space for the bigger picture. Moving into private practice allows me to practise medicine as I believe it should be: whole-person, prevention-focused, and truly collaborative. My approach combines evidence-based medicine with the time and care patients deserve - empowering them to understand and manage their health, with medication used thoughtfully and only when needed.
What are the common symptoms that your patients tend to present with?
Many patients come to me following a new diagnosis, feeling they haven’t had enough support to understand the impact on their life and next steps or feel that they’ve been offered medication too early without exploring alternatives. Others come with general concerns about their long-term health and risk of disease. To meet these needs, I offer:
- Diagnosis Companion: a structured way to unpack new or complex diagnoses, helping patients understand their results and options
- Health Mapping: a proactive, personalised assessment of current health and practical steps to protect future well-being
What are the treatments that you're able to offer your patients?
My role is to bring clarity, strategy, and trusted support. This can include targeted blood tests, imaging, and onward referrals to trusted professionals such as physiotherapists, nutritionists, or personal trainers. My focus is always on sustainable change - personalised lifestyle strategies that reduce risk, improve quality of life, and build long-term health.
What are your areas of sub-specialist interest?
I specialise in preventative health, longevity, hormone health, and integrative medicine. My approach blends conventional evidence-based medicine with complementary practices such as meditation, yoga, and nutrition - helping patients make confident, informed choices that align with their values and long-term goals.
