Mr. Sonpreet Rai is a highly qualified Consultant Urologist and Robotic Surgeon practising in London and Milton Keynes. He specialises in cancer treatment for renal, bladder, and prostate conditions. Mr. Rai holds the position of Cancer Lead for Urology at his NHS Trust, where he has been serving since his appointment in 2010.
Mr. Rai is dedicated to providing a pragmatic, patient-centred, individualised approach to care. He is particularly skilled in bladder outflow surgery, prostate health checks, and general urological conditions such as vasectomy, kidney stones, tight foreskin, and urinary tract infections. His expertise extends to the latest MRI scanner and prostate cancer diagnostics.
Graduating with honours in Medicine and Surgery, Mr. Rai was awarded the prestigious Gordon Bryden Medal for academic excellence. He completed specialised training in laparoscopic surgery for renal cancer and received a Senior Clinical Fellowship in Robotic Surgery for bladder and renal cancer from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Additionally, he completed advanced training in robotic surgery at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital in London.
Mr. Rai's professional interests include the latest advancements in urological surgery and improving patient outcomes through innovative techniques. He is a member of the British Association of Urological Surgeons, the European Association of Urology, and the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
