Dr Stuart Harris is a Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at The Wellington Hospital and the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre. He also serves as the Medical Director at Southend Hospital and Deputy Chief Medical Officer at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust. Dr Harris has a specialist interest in arrhythmia, catheter ablations, and implantable ICDs and pacemakers.

After qualifying from St Bartholomew's Hospital Medical College in 1995, Dr Harris completed his cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology training in London and Edinburgh. He was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist at St Bartholomew's Hospital in 2005 and later joined the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre in 2007. In 2013, he became the Clinical Director of the department and is currently the arrhythmia lead for the Essex Cardiac and Stroke Network.

Dr Harris is actively involved in clinical research on atrial fibrillation, the use of implantable devices in treating heart failure, and the effects of pacing on heart function. He is a Council Member and Treasurer of the British Heart Rhythm Society. His expertise includes cardiac pacing, cardiac re-synchronisation therapy, catheter ablation, defibrillator implantation, and pacemaker implantation. He treats conditions such as arrhythmia, atrial fibrillation, and heart attacks.
