Mr Sudip Ray is a Consultant Vascular Surgeon at Kingston and Charing Cross Hospitals, appointed in 2000. He is also the Chairman of the Thrombosis Group at Kingston Hospital. Mr Ray qualified from Magdalen College, Oxford University, and completed his clinical studies at the Westminster Hospital, London. He has held positions as a Consultant at Frimley Park Hospital and as a Senior Registrar at both St. Thomas' and St. George's Hospitals in London. Additionally, he has gained international experience as a Travelling Fellow at the prestigious vascular centres at UCLA, California, and Albany Medical Centre, New York.
Mr Ray practices privately in Wimbledon, Kingston, Harley Street, and the Channel Islands. He is experienced in all aspects of arterial and venous disease, with a particular interest in minimally invasive keyhole treatments for varicose veins, management of deep vein thrombosis, arterial blockages of the legs, and sclerotherapy. He is the UK lead trainer for Venaseal, a technique that uses medical superglue to close veins without the need for anaesthetic.
