Mr Sujith Konan is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in hip and knee surgery. He is also an honorary Associate Professor at University College London. Mr Konan completed his basic surgical training in the UK, becoming a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS Eng) in 2006. He then pursued a two-year post-graduate research degree (MD res) in Orthopaedic Biomedical Engineering at University College London. His higher specialist training in Orthopaedics was completed on the University College Hospital rotations, achieving a Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery (FRCS Tr&Orth) in 2013.

Mr Konan has enhanced his skills through prestigious fellowships in North America, USA, and Europe, including a year in Vancouver in 2014, followed by visiting fellowships to Paris, Dresden, Bern, Munich, Zurich, and the USA. He has received several prizes, scholarships, and awards, including travelling fellowships by the British Orthopaedic Association and the British Hip Society.

He has a high-volume clinical practice focusing on all aspects of hip and knee surgery, including hip and knee arthroscopy, reconstructions for sports injuries, hip and knee replacements, and revision hip and knee surgery. Mr Konan has published extensively in orthopaedic journals and textbooks and has presented widely on clinical and research topics at national and international meetings. He is committed to pursuing clinical, translational, and laboratory-based research alongside his busy surgical practice, ultimately focusing on improving patient care.

Mr Konan treats a variety of conditions, including hip and knee issues, sports injuries, hamstring issues, meniscus issues, cartilage issues, and ACL injuries. He performs procedures such as hip replacement, hip revision surgery, knee replacement, knee revision surgery, arthroscopy, hip resurfacing, partial knee replacement, robotic surgery, knee ligament reconstruction, cruciate ligament reconstruction, meniscus surgery, and hamstring repair. He has been practising at The Princess Grace Hospital since 2013.
