Dr Sundip Patel is a Consultant Cardiologist at Queen Elizabeth Hospital and St. Thomas' Hospital. He qualified from the University of Wales in 1992 and completed his specialty training in cardiology. In addition, Dr Patel treats hypertension and valvular disease, including heart failure. He uses diagnostics like echocardiography and transoesophageal echocardiography to assess these conditions. He also manages palpitations, fainting, and syncope, employing diagnostics such as ECG, ECG monitoring, implantable ECG recorders, and tilt testing.
Dr Patel is dedicated to cardiac risk factor management, addressing high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and metabolic syndrome. He uses a variety of diagnostic tools, including serum-urine biomarkers, carotid IMT ultrasound, pulse wave analysis, and CT screening, to provide tailored risk assessment, stratification, and reduction.
