Mr Surya Gandham is a Consultant Spinal Surgeon specialising in adult and paediatric spinal conditions. His clinical interests include scoliosis, complex spinal deformity and spinal reconstruction, alongside common causes of neck and lower back pain.
He assesses and treats sciatica, disc prolapse, spinal stenosis, spinal trauma and metastatic spinal disease. His practice includes both non-operative treatment and surgery, with treatment planned around the patient's diagnosis and needs.
Mr Gandham completed specialist spinal fellowships in Sheffield and Liverpool, including at Alder Hey Children's Hospital and the Walton Centre. He was awarded the British Association of Spine Surgeons and British Scoliosis Society Presidents' Travelling Fellowship, visiting specialist spinal centres.
His NHS work includes care for adults and children with complex spinal conditions. He has held national educational and leadership roles within the British Association of Spine Surgeons and British Scoliosis Society, and completed the British Orthopaedic Association Future Leaders Programme.
