Dr Susannah Bloch is a highly experienced respiratory specialist based at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. She has dedicated her NHS practice to the care of lung cancer patients, ensuring they receive rapid access to diagnostics and comprehensive support throughout their treatment journey. Dr Bloch's expertise has contributed to Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust achieving one of the best lung cancer survival rates in the country.

Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr Bloch has been actively involved in the care of COVID-19 patients, both in hospital and in the community. She has developed a deep understanding of Long COVID and its complexities, providing holistic care to support patients' recovery and manage any respiratory damage caused by the infection.

Dr Bloch completed her medical training at St Mary Hospital and earned her PhD at the Royal Brompton Hospital. With many years of experience in high dependency care, she is responsible for all lung cancer referrals and oversees the respiratory high dependency units at Imperial. In addition to her specialist roles, Dr Bloch runs a busy general respiratory clinic, covers the wards, and participates in the general medical on-call rota.

Her areas of expertise include lung cancer, lung nodules, bronchoscopy, lung screening, non-invasive ventilation, tracheostomy weaning, acute respiratory failure, asthma, bronchitis, lung infections, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Dr Bloch is committed to providing exceptional care to her patients, leveraging her extensive knowledge and experience in respiratory medicine.
