Dr Taher Mahmud is a distinguished Consultant Rheumatologist and the Clinical Lead for Osteoporosis at the London Osteoporosis Clinic, which he co-founded. He completed his medical education at King's College London and further honed his skills in General Medicine at King's College, St Thomas', and Pembury Hospitals. Dr Mahmud also served as an Honorary Consultant at the Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases in Bath.

The London Osteoporosis Clinic aims to work with patients, healthcare providers, voluntary sectors, and businesses to eradicate osteoporosis-related fractures. Outside of his professional life, Dr Mahmud has a keen interest in the arts and enjoys sports, particularly tennis and running. He has also contributed to charitable causes, having served as a Trustee for Great Causes, a charity dedicated to funding cataract operations in developing countries.
