    Mr Thomas Cecil has been working at the Hampshire Clinic since 2002 as a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon and General Surgeon. He has also been a Consultant Surgeon at the Basingstoke and North Hampshire Foundation Trust since 2002 and is on the faculty for the National Multi-Disciplinary Team. Since 2011 he has been Clinical Director of the Peritoneal Malignancy Institute in Basingstoke, one of the largest centres in the world in the treatment of peritoneal cancers. His clinical interests include laparoscopic colorectal surgery, peritoneal cancer surgery, colorectal screening and laparoscopic hernia repair.

    Mr Cecil graduated from Southampton University and undertook his registrar training in the Wessex region. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1994 and a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in 2002 at Southampton University. He has lectured extensively nationally and internationally on laparoscopic colorectal surgery and peritoneal malignancy and presented and published on both subjects. He is on the medical advisory board of Bowel Cancer UK.
