Dr Thomasin Andrews is a Consultant Neurologist at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Trust, appointed in 2003. She has extensive experience in general neurology, with a particular focus on the investigation and management of headaches, fits, blackouts, and dizziness. Dr Andrews has a specialist interest in Parkinson's disease, tremor, movement disorders, and Huntington's disease.
Dr Andrews completed her medical studies at University College London, where she also intercalated in physiology and neurophysiology. She furthered her general medical training at Bart's and the Royal Free, and served as a medical registrar at St Peter's Hospital in Chertsey. Her academic journey includes a three-year research degree at the MRC Cyclotron Unit at Imperial College London, where she investigated the use of positron emission tomography in clinical and research studies of Huntington's disease. She completed her higher neurology training in London before her appointment as a consultant.
At Guy's and St Thomas', Dr Andrews runs clinics for general neurology, as well as specialist clinics for movement disorders, Parkinson's disease, and Huntington's disease.
