Mr Usman Butt is a highly experienced consultant orthopaedic surgeon with over 21 years of practice, specialising in shoulder and upper limb surgery. He practices at HCA UK at The Wilmslow Hospital and holds an NHS consultant role at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.

He graduated with honours from the University of Birmingham in 2004 and completed his core surgical training in the Midlands, gaining broad experience in orthopaedics, emergency medicine, vascular surgery, and plastic surgery. He subsequently undertook higher specialist orthopaedic training in Manchester, earning his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in 2012.

Mr Butt pursued advanced subspecialty training through prestigious fellowships in the UK and internationally. His UK training included placements at the Wrightington Upper Limb Unit and the Stockport Shoulder Unit. Internationally, he undertook competitively awarded travel fellowships in shoulder, elbow, and sports surgery in Milan and at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, USA.

His elective surgical practice is dedicated to upper limb conditions with a primary focus on shoulder disorders. He treats tendon and rotator cuff injuries, shoulder instability, labral injuries, arthritis, stiffness, and traumatic shoulder injuries. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on upper limb and orthopaedic surgery, and his work has been presented at leading international conferences, earning several awards for excellence.
