Dr Valentina Puntmann is a highly qualified and experienced cardiologist specialising in the early detection and treatment of cardiac problems that can lead to heart failure. The areas of her expertise include the management of myocarditis, non-ischaemic inflammatory cardiomyopathies, hypertrophic and hypertensive heart disease, and the treatment of chronic cardiac conditions. She is especially dedicated to Women's heart conditions (preeclampsia, gestational hypertension, diabetes, Takotsubo). She is dedicated to providing high-quality care and advancing the field of cardiology through both her clinical work and research.

She is a senior research investigator with a special interest in non-ischaemic inflammatory cardiomyopathies, hypertrophic and hypertensive heart disease. Dr Puntmann provides comprehensive multidisciplinary cardiac treatment to patients suffering from chronic conditions such as systemic lupus erythematosus or chronic infections like HIV. Dr Puntmann graduated top of her year, Medical School of University of Ljubljana (999). She completed her clinical training in the United Kingdom (Imperial College London 2011) and Germany (University Hospital Frankfurt), She received her PhD in cardiovascular pharmacology in 2004.
Dr Puntmann is a passionate lecturer in cardiovascular imaging and translational medicine. She is Associate Prof at Goethe University, Frankfurt. She previously held Lecturer Posts at Imperial College London and King's College London. She is also a Principal Investigator with the German Heart Foundation, contributing to research and development in the field of cardiology.
