About Dr Victoria Grandage

GMC number: 3542974

Year qualified: 1991

Place of primary qualification: University of Dundee

Dr Victoria Grandage is a highly experienced consultant haematologist specialising in paediatric and adolescent haematology. She qualified from the University of Dundee in 1991 and initially trained in general adult medicine, gaining membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 1995.

Dr Grandage spent two and a half years as a Clinical Fellow in bone marrow transplantation at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Bristol. During this time, she conducted research on minimal residual disease in acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. Her general haematology training, which included achieving MRCPath in 2005 and FRCPath in 2008, was primarily undertaken at University College Hospital London and Great Ormond Street Hospital. This training also included further specialisation in bone marrow transplantation.

From 2001 to 2004, Dr Grandage pursued research in signal transduction in acute myeloid leukaemia, earning her PhD in 2001. Her extensive training in both paediatric and adult haematology led her to develop a keen interest in adolescent haematology. In April 2007, she was appointed as a Consultant Haematologist for the Children and Young People’s Cancer Service at University College London Hospitals (UCLH).

Dr Grandage's areas of expertise include acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), general haematology, and the late effects of treatment in young people. She is dedicated to providing comprehensive care and advancing research in these critical areas.

Dr Grandage is committed to improving the lives of her patients through her extensive knowledge and compassionate care. She continues to contribute significantly to the field of haematology, particularly in the treatment and management of blood disorders in children and adolescents.
