Associate Professor Viktoria Eleftheriadou is a Consultant Dermatologist and an Honorary Associate Professor at the College of Medicine and Health, University of Birmingham. She serves as lead for the vitiligo clinic and research (for both adults and children) and heads the home phototherapy service at Walsall Healthcare and The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trusts. She also sees patients in private practice through facilities associated with HCA Healthcare UK, in locations including Birmingham and London.
Her clinical expertise spans general adult and paediatric dermatology, including skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, acne, skin cancer, rashes and a wide range of dermatological disorders. She is particularly known for her specialist work in pigmentary disorders, especially vitiligo and in skin-of-colour dermatology, combining medical and cosmetic dermatology where appropriate.
She holds qualifications including MD, MRCP(UK), SCE (Dermatology) and a PhD in clinical dermatology from the University of Nottingham, with her doctoral work funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) and focused on evidence-based management of vitiligo and phototherapy.
In academia and research she has an international presence: she regularly presents at national and international conferences and leads several research initiatives. She also serves as Section Editor for a leading dermatology journal, with a sizeable portfolio of scholarly publications. Through research, teaching, and clinical practice she is committed to advancing dermatology care, particularly for patients with pigmentary disorders or complex skin conditions.
