Mr Vimo Arumuham is a highly skilled consultant urological surgeon and endourologist, specialising in the diagnosis and minimally invasive treatment of general urological diseases, with a particular focus on urinary tract stones. He is based at the internationally renowned Endourology and Stone Unit at University College London Hospital (UCLH) and West Hertfordshire NHS Trust, and sees patients in Central London and Hertfordshire.
Mr Arumuham is a graduate of the National Medical Director's Darzi Fellowship, a prestigious programme for doctors in the NHS, and holds a Master's Degree in Clinical Leadership. He received his specialist training in the North Central London rotation and was awarded the Markovitz Prize at the Institute of Urology.
At West Hertfordshire NHS Trust, Mr Arumuham is the Clinical Lead for the Acute Stone Pathway, overseeing referrals from the Emergency Department and General Practice. He has also developed an award-winning Virtual Stone Clinic that has significantly reduced the time to treatment and follow-up for patients.
In addition to his work in the UK, Mr Arumuham has spent time in China and Sri Lanka as part of The Urology Foundation's Travelling Fellowship programme. He is also a Medical Examiner to the Coroner of Hertfordshire and believes in the importance of clear communication and empathy in patient care.
