Mr Vinod Nargund is a Consultant Urological Surgeon with a distinguished career in the field of urology. He specialises in urological cancers and testicular diseases, including male sexual and fertility problems. Mr Nargund was appointed Clinical Lecturer in Surgery and Renal Transplant and Honorary Senior Registrar in Urology at Oxford Radcliffe NHS Trust and the University of Oxford.

Mr Nargund received his training in Urology Units at City Hospital Belfast, Royal Infirmary Bradford, and Churchill and John Radcliffe Hospitals in Oxford. He further honed his expertise during a sabbatical at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York, focusing on the advancement of genito-urinary cancer. Additionally, he trained in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery at Erasme University Hospital in Brussels and Oscar Lambret Cancer Centre in Lille, France.

In addition to his clinical work, Mr Nargund has been actively involved in medical education. He has taught both undergraduate and postgraduate students at Queen Mary’s, Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, University of London. He has also served as an examiner for the University of London and as a member of the court of examiners at the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Mr Nargund holds a PhD for his research on bladder cancer and has published over 90 papers in national and international journals. He is the principal editor of the textbook "Urological Oncology," published in 2007. His research interests include the early diagnosis of genitourinary cancer, angiogenesis, and the minimally invasive management of urological cancers. His contributions to the field have been recognised with nominations for the Kings Fund/Evening Standard NHS Champion award in 2002 and the NHS Innovation award in 2008.

Mr Nargund's areas of expertise include urological oncology, male infertility, erectile dysfunction, kidney cancer, prostate cancer, bladder cancer, prostate disease including prostatitis, diseases of the testis, testicular cancer, and andrology. He has been serving in his current roles since his appointment in 2002.
