    Dr Madan is a Consultant Dermatologist, laser and dermatological surgeon at the Salford Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and an honorary senior lecturer at the University of Manchester. He has a special interest in the use of lasers in dermatology and skin cancer surgery, including Mohs Surgery.

    After completing his medical and dermatology training in India, Dr Madan was placed on the prestigious Cambridge medical rotation. He then trained in dermatology at the Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust. With a keen interest in procedural dermatology, he completed the only skin laser fellowship in the UK at the Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust. He further honed his skills in Mohs micrographic surgery and reconstructive surgery at the Welsh Institute of Dermatology in Cardiff.

    Dr Madan is the president of the British Medical Laser Association and a past secretary of the British Cosmetic Dermatology Group. He has published 110 articles, authored 10 book chapters, and edited two books on dermatology and skin cancer. Additionally, he has been an invited reviewer for 11 international journals and has delivered 70 scientific presentations. He also runs a laser course at the Salford Royal NHS Trust and is the director of the laser module for the MSc in "Aesthetic and Ageing" medicine course at the University of Manchester.

    Dr Madan treats a wide range of conditions including acne, alopecia, birthmarks, blemishes, cherry angiomas, cysts, eczema, facial thread veins, freckles, keloid scars, lumps and bumps, pigmentation issues, psoriasis, vitiligo, venous lakes, warts, verrucae, and xanthelasma. He is also skilled in cosmetic dermatology procedures such as fillers, chemical peels, dermaroller, microneedling, and various laser treatments for skin applications, thread veins, scarring, and pigmentation. His expertise extends to disorders of hair, skin, and nails, as well as skin tumours and oncology, with a particular focus on Mohs Surgery.

    Dr Madan has been serving at the Salford Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust since his appointment and continues to contribute significantly to the field of dermatology through his clinical practice, teaching, and research.
