    Mr Asif Haq is a highly experienced Consultant Laparoscopic Colorectal and Minimal Access Surgeon based at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Specialising in laparoscopic and robotic surgery, Mr Haq has key areas of expertise in bowel cancer and coloproctological conditions. He is also proficient in revision abdominal surgery, particularly abdominal wall reconstruction, reversal surgery for stomas (ileostomy and colostomy), and incisional hernia repair via a minimal access approach.

    Mr Haq obtained his primary medical qualification at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1990. He then completed his general surgery training in England and specialised colorectal training in both London and Canada. His dedication and skill were recognised by the Royal College of Surgeons of England, which awarded him the New York Travelling Fellowship and the prestigious Sir Ian Todd Fellowship.

    In addition to his clinical work, Mr Haq is actively involved in medical education. He teaches both nationally and internationally and is a committed trainer for the National Training Programme for Laparoscopic Colorectal Surgery in England. He is also a core member of the Network of Iranians for Knowledge and Innovation (NIKI), which involves annual travel to Iran to lead workshops in hospitals for medical students and junior doctors.

    Mr Haq's extensive experience and commitment to both patient care and education make him a leading figure in his field.
