Mr Aziz Gulamhusein is a consultant urological and robotic surgeon with a specialist interest in complex open and minimally invasive abdominal surgery. His NHS practice is based at the world-renowned Christie NHS Foundation Trust, where he primarily manages patients with urological cancers, including kidney cancer, testicular cancer, retroperitoneal sarcoma, and prostate cancer. He also addresses common urological complaints such as blood in urine, urinary symptoms, benign prostatic enlargement, raised PSA, and penile and scrotal problems.

Mr Gulamhusein completed his undergraduate training at Sheffield Medical School before pursuing specialist urological training within the Yorkshire region. Prior to his current consultant post, he was the first to complete the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons Robotic Kidney Cancer Surgery Fellowship at the Royal Free Hospital in London, the highest volume kidney surgery centre in the UK and Europe with over 400 cases a year. He has also undertaken a clinical visit to an ERUS robotic host centre in Aalborg, Denmark, supported by the Royal College of Surgeons. Mr Gulamhusein currently holds an honorary consultant contract at The Royal Marsden Hospital in London, where he maintains close links with the testicular and kidney cancer team.

Mr Gulamhusein is active in medical education, having previously served as a urology module lead at Sheffield Medical School. His research interests are focused on urological cancers, robotic surgery, novel technology, and enhanced recovery after surgery.
