Dr Catherine Rodgers is a highly respected Consultant Physician specialising in Genito-urinary Medicine (GUM) and HIV Medicine. She has been practising within the NHS since 1997 and also offers private consultations at London Bridge Hospital. Dr Rodgers graduated from Liverpool University Medical School in 1989 and completed her specialist training in Sexual Health and HIV within the Mersey regional rotation and the Liverpool Deanery.
Dr Rodgers holds a Diploma in Venereology from Liverpool and has further specialised in Psychosexual Medicine, completing her training at the London Institute of Psychosexual Medicine. In 1994, she was appointed Senior Registrar in GUM and HIV at St Mary’s Hospital, London, where she consolidated her expertise in Sexual Health.
In 2000, Dr Rodgers began her private practice at London Bridge Hospital and joined the team of eminent Urological Surgeons at London Bridge Urology in 2006. She was appointed as a Fellow to the Royal College of Physicians in 2004, recognising her significant contributions to the field.
Dr Rodgers is proficient in managing a wide range of sexual health issues, from routine sexual health screenings to complex, chronic conditions affecting sexual well-being. Her areas of expertise include cryotherapy of genital warts, Gardasil vaccination, recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis, recurrent bacterial vaginosis, and recurrent prostatitis.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Rodgers is a dedicated educator, regularly invited to lecture GPs and junior doctors on various topics in sexual health. Her commitment to education and patient care has made her a trusted name in the field of Sexual Health and HIV Medicine.
