Dr Channa Jayasena is a Consultant Endocrinologist and Andrologist with extensive experience in the treatment and management of reproductive endocrinology conditions. He is dedicated to providing his patients with the highest standard of care, utilising cutting-edge technology when necessary. Dr Jayasena sees private patients at St Mary's Hospital, HCA Chiswick Hospital, and also offers video consultations.

Dr Jayasena earned his bachelor's degree in medicine from Cambridge University. He then pursued specialist training in Diabetes and Endocrinology at various renowned hospitals and teaching centres in London. Following this, he gained a fellowship with the Wellcome Trust, where he was among the first to lead pioneering studies on the effects of novel hypothalamic peptides on the human reproductive axis. Since his appointment as a Consultant, Dr Jayasena has become the Clinical Lead for Male Infertility and Andrology, focusing on male reproductive and urological health.

Throughout his tenure as Consultant and Clinical Lead, Dr Jayasena has been instrumental in developing state-of-the-art treatments for male infertility. These include microsurgical testicular sperm extraction, reactive oxygen species measurement, and testicular mapping. His contributions to research and clinical practice have earned him several awards, including the 2014 Young Endocrinologist Prize from the UK's Society for Endocrinology.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr Jayasena is an editor for several specialist journals and has contributed to numerous medical textbooks. He plays an active role in developing clinical guidelines and training other clinicians both in the UK and internationally.

Outside of his professional life, Dr Jayasena enjoys cooking, DIY projects, and playing various sports with his children, albeit not always successfully.
