Mr Charis Kyriakides is a highly experienced Consultant General and Upper GI Surgeon with a special interest in laparoscopic benign biliary disease and open and laparoscopic hernia surgery. He has been serving a large and diverse community in South London as a consultant surgeon at Croydon University Hospital.

Mr Kyriakides completed his graduate medical degree with distinction at Semmelweis University School of Medicine and specialised in General Surgery in Athens, Greece, before further training in the UK. He then underwent a four-year fellowship in Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery at the Hammersmith Hospital (Imperial College), followed by two years at the Royal London Hospital (Barts Health), where he gained valuable experience in benign and malignant hepatobiliary and pancreatic disease.

Since 2015, Mr Kyriakides has been a General and Upper GI Consultant and was appointed at Croydon University Hospital in 2020. He is a published author in peer-reviewed journals and has presented his research work in international meetings and conferences. He is also passionate about teaching undergraduates as well as at the Royal College of Surgeons courses and workshops.
