Professor Dan Jiang is a distinguished Consultant ENT and Skull Base Surgeon affiliated with HCA Healthcare. He practices at London Bridge Hospital, The Harley Street Clinic, and The Portland Hospital, and also serves at NHS institutions including Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital, Evelina London Children Hospital, and King's College Hospital. With extensive experience in both adult and paediatric ENT, his clinical interests encompass ear surgery, hearing implants, deafness, dizziness, and the management of lateral skull base tumours.
Professor Jiang received his training in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospital, King's College Hospital, and The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. He completed a prestigious fellowship in Skull Base Surgery and Advanced Neuro-Otology at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge. Notably, he was among the pioneering surgeons in Europe to develop hearing preservation techniques in cochlear implant surgery. His research into auditory physiology and pathology earned him a PhD, and he continues to be actively involved in research on auditory implants and inner ear regeneration at King's College London.
In addition to his clinical work, Professor Jiang holds several key roles. He is a board member of the European Academy of Otology and Neurotology and a Trustee of the British Cochlear Implant Group. He has also served as the Honorary Secretary and Vice President of the Otology Section of the Royal Society of Medicine. His expertise includes minimally invasive ear surgery, cochlear implants, implantable hearing aids, tympanoplasty, stapedectomy, and various other ENT procedures. He treats conditions such as acute and chronic ear infections, deafness, dizziness, otosclerosis, and vestibular schwannoma. Professor Jiang has been practising since his appointment in 2005.
