Dr David Feuer is a consultant in palliative medicine at Barts and The London NHS Trust, and The Homerton University NHS Foundation Trust. He is also the lead cancer clinician at The Homerton University Hospital. His major interests include pathophysiology and the diagnosis and treatment of malignant intestinal obstruction, with a passion for providing adequate palliative care and pain relief for all patients at any stage of their illness.

Dr Feuer graduated from The University of Southampton with degrees in molecular biology and medicine. After training in a range of London hospitals, he became a senior registrar and research fellow at The Royal Marsden NHS Trust. In this role, he undertook a systematic review of the management of intestinal obstruction due to advanced gynaecological and intestinal cancer, funded by the NHS Executive Research and Development Fund.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr Feuer is dedicated to teaching, particularly focusing on the need for critical appraisal of the literature. He has made numerous presentations at local, national, and international meetings, most notably as an invited expert speaker at the NIH meeting in Los Angeles in 2004. His work has resulted in numerous papers published in specialist professional literature covering the fields of palliative medicine, general surgery, specialised gynaecological oncology, and oncology.

Dr Feuer's areas of expertise include the diagnosis and treatment of malignant intestinal obstruction, palliative medicine pain (both malignant and non-malignant), and pathophysiology. He is committed to ensuring that all patients receive the highest standard of care and pain management throughout their treatment journey.

He continues to contribute significantly to the field of palliative medicine through his clinical practice, research, and teaching.
