Mr Kovoor gained his membership of RCOG in 2004 and spent most of his registrar training in Nottingham University hospitals. He has undergone special skills module training in Urogynaecology, colposcopy and laparoscopic surgeries. After completion of registrar training he took up advanced laparoscopic training in IRCAD, Strasbourg, France with Prof Wattiez followed by further training in Lille with Dr Eric Leblanc.

He gained extensive experience in advanced laparoscopic procedures for severe endometriosis, prolapse and oncologic procedures during this period. He is also trained in robotic surgery. He spent another year as a fellow in advanced minimal access surgery before taking up his consultant position at the Trust.
