Dr Gauri Godbole is a Consultant Microbiologist and Parasitologist with over 30 years of experience in the diagnosis and management of infectious diseases. She practises at leading London institutions including The Wellington Hospital and is a Consultant at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases, University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. She also holds senior roles within the UK Health Security Agency, where she contributes to national infection control and public health strategy.

Dr Godbole qualified in medicine in India and completed postgraduate training in internal medicine before continuing her specialist training in the UK. She undertook advanced training in medical microbiology and virology at University College London, achieving specialist accreditation and developing expertise in complex infections.

Her clinical expertise includes microbiology, parasitology and infectious diseases, with a particular focus on tropical infections, gastrointestinal infections and infections in returning travellers.
