Mr Hassan Elhassan is a distinguished Sinus Surgery and Nose specialist based in London. Mr Elhassan earned his primary medical qualification from Barts and The London, University of London in 2005. He achieved Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2015 and obtained the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in Otorhinolaryngology from the General Medical Council of the United Kingdom in 2016.
Currently, Mr Elhassan serves as a Consultant Surgeon at Homerton University Hospital Foundation Trust and holds private practice privileges in London. He is a strong advocate for surgical efficiency and management, having introduced several quality improvement initiatives across multiple hospital departments. His leadership skills were recognised with his appointment as Deputy Clinical Director for ENT in the London region, where he played a pivotal role in designing High Volume Low Capacity ENT pathways to address the COVID backlog.
Mr Elhassan has a keen interest in bench to bedside research, supported by his BSc in experimental pathology. This background enables him to supervise medical students and junior doctors effectively. He convened the first cadaveric sinus surgery dissection course in Wales and was honoured with University colours for his contributions to the undergraduate curriculum.
