Mr Irfan Syed is a highly esteemed Consultant ENT Surgeon at University Hospital Lewisham. He specialises in treating a wide range of general and paediatric ENT conditions, with a particular focus on rhinology (nose and sinuses) and facial plastic surgery, including nasal reconstruction and the management of skin lesions.

Mr Syed graduated from University College Hospital, London, and completed his higher surgical training in ENT on the London training programme. His training included a significant stint in Paediatric ENT surgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital. He further honed his expertise with fellowship sub-specialty training in Rhinology and Facial Plastic Surgery at St George’s Hospital, London.

In recognition of his dedication to advancing his skills, Mr Syed was awarded the British Rhinological Society Bursary Award for training at the Sino-Nasal Institute of Florida, USA, and the European Rhinological Society Award for training at the Amsterdam Medical Centre. His international training also includes prestigious institutions in Paris and the University of British Columbia, Vancouver.

Mr Syed is well known for his contributions to post-graduate surgical education. He serves as the course director for several key training programmes, including The London Endoscopic Sinus Surgery Course, The London Facial Plastic Surgery Course, The London ST3 Course, and The London FRCS (ORL-HNS) Viva Course. Additionally, he has been invited to teach on the East Anglian Sinus, Orbit & Skull Base Course and the London Facial Aesthetic Cosmetic Training Course.
