    About Prof. Janice Rymer

    Janice Rymer is a distinguished Professor of Gynaecology and the Dean of Undergraduate Medicine at King's College London School of Medicine, based at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital. She has been serving in this esteemed position since her appointment in 1997.

    Prof Rymer's areas of special interest include minimal access surgery, particularly for endometriosis, ovarian failure, and medical education. Her expertise in these fields is well-recognised, and she has made significant contributions through her extensive research and publications. She has authored over 130 peer-reviewed papers, 13 first-author textbooks, and contributed to 5 other textbooks.

    In addition to her primary roles, Prof Rymer holds several extramural positions. She has been a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) Council from 1997 to 2005 and again from 2009 to the present. She also served on the British Menopause Society Council from 1986 to 1992 and resumed her membership in 2009.

    At Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital, Prof Rymer specialises in general gynaecology, laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, menopause, and endometriosis. Her dedication to advancing medical education and patient care has made her a respected figure in the medical community.
