About Dr Lafina Diamandis

GMC number: 6159582

Year qualified: 2007

Place of primary qualification: University of London

Dr Lafina Diamandis is a GP and lifestyle medicine doctor appointed in the NHS and private sector. She founded DEIA Health Clinic in London to bridge conventional and lifestyle medicine, focusing on holistic health and longevity.

She holds a BSc in Anatomy and an MBBS from King’s College London, a dual Master’s in Brain & Mind Science from University College London, and an International Master’s Diploma in Neuroscience from Sorbonne University, Paris. After qualifying as a GP, she pursued advanced training in lifestyle medicine through the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine, the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and Yale University.

Her areas of expertise include nutrition, sleep, movement, stress management, genetics, environmental toxins and connection with nature and community, which form the DEIA Method – a structured, evidence-based approach to health optimisation. She treats conditions like anxiety, stress, burnout, chronic illness and hormonal imbalances, and supports clients with personalised health plans addressing root causes.

In her dual roles in NHS and private practice, she has worked across organisations including BUPA, The Telegraph and Goldman Sachs, as well as various GP clinics throughout London. She is GMC registered, a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners and the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine.

Her interests span holistic health, longevity, neuroscience, and preventive medicine. She regularly leads wellbeing retreats that combine health coaching with nature immersion, movement, nutrition and community building. As a lifestyle medicine specialist, she performs health checks, diagnostic screenings and personalised consultations that integrate lifestyle and conventional approaches to treat and prevent disease.

Frequently asked questions

  • Why do you do what you do?

I initially trained in paediatrics and planned to become a paediatric GP, but during my GP training I rediscovered my passion for medicine. I fell in love with the variety and the deep patient relationships that general practice fosters. Over time, I became drawn to lifestyle medicine—addressing root causes rather than symptoms. Private practice gives me the freedom to practise medicine in a more holistic and patient-centred way.

  • What are the common symptoms that your patients tend to present with?

While general practice covers everything from rashes to fevers, in my private work I often see patients who are unwell but undiagnosed. Many of them, particularly women, come with hormonal concerns or mental health issues like stress, anxiety, or burnout. These cases often don’t fit neatly into a single diagnosis, so I bring a broad, integrative lens to my assessments.

  • What are the treatments that you're able to offer your patients?

I offer a wide range of diagnostics including blood and stool tests, full-body health screenings, MRI scans, CT coronary angiograms, echocardiograms, ultrasounds, and functional medicine tests focused on hormones, gut health, stress, and biological ageing. My treatments often combine medical care with lifestyle-based interventions, nutritional guidance, talking therapies, and even neuromodulation tools.

  • What are your areas of sub-specialist interest?

I am a certified lifestyle medicine doctor. My sub-specialist interests include Women’s Health—especially hormonal conditions like PCOS, endometriosis, fertility issues, perimenopause and menopause. I also focus on mental and emotional health, using a holistic approach that spans nutrition, therapy, and where appropriate, medication. Preventative health is another key area—I believe in proactive, whole-body health strategies.
