Dr Lai Cheng Yew is a consultant clinical oncologist currently working at the North Middlesex University Hospital and Chase Farm Hospital (Royal Free London). She also sees patients privately in several clinics across North and Central London. Dr Yew is highly experienced in the management of breast cancer.

She has particular expertise in radiotherapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and hormone therapy. Dr Yew gained her medical degree in 2002 after training at both Cambridge University and University College London. Graduating with a distinction in medicine, she went on to train in clinical oncology and earned her MSc in Oncology from the Institute of Cancer Research. Her MSc work focused on the pathological complete response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy in breast cancer.

In addition to her busy clinical practice, Dr Yew is actively involved in research, particularly in the area of new advanced radiotherapy techniques. She serves as the principal investigator for breast radiotherapy trials. Furthermore, she has held several quality lead roles within the oncology department of her Trust, including Audit Lead and Chemotherapy Lead.

Dr Yew is passionate about education and serves as the Undergraduate Lead in Oncology and Educational Supervisor for medical students and clinical oncology trainees. She is a fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) and a member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP).

Dr Yew's dedication to both her patients and the field of oncology is evident through her extensive clinical work, research contributions, and commitment to medical education.
