    Dr Lisa Das is a highly experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist, practising since 1997. She was the UK’s first Community Gastroenterology Consultant at the Royal London Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust, where she focused on improving service delivery. Dr Das completed her medical training at Guy’s Hospital Medical School in London and her medical residency in Boston, USA. She further specialised in Gastroenterology at Columbia University, New York, and holds Board Certification in Gastroenterology (USA) as well as full accreditation in the UK General Medical Council's Specialist Register in Gastroenterology.

    Dr Das has extensive expertise in both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, including gastroscopy and colonoscopy, as well as general gastroenterology. Her special interests include irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), abdominal pain and dyspepsia, gastrointestinal cancer screening, obesity, inflammatory bowel disease, gastro-oesophageal reflux, gastrointestinal bleeding, and abnormal liver function. Currently, Dr Das focuses on private practice, providing clinically excellent care with a kind and friendly approach, with a specific emphasis on women’s gastroenterology.

    Dr Das is proficient in a range of medical tests and treatments, including bowel cancer screening, diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopy, capsule endoscopy, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG), upper GI endoscopy (gastroscopy), upper GI endoscopy and dilatation, and upper GI endoscopy with BRAVO. She treats a variety of conditions such as functional gastrointestinal disorders, constipation, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, dyspepsia, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, coeliac disease, and Helicobacter pylori infection.

    Appointed in 1997, Dr Das continues to be a leading figure in her field, dedicated to providing high-quality care and improving patient outcomes.
