Dr Mani Naghibi is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at St Mark’s Hospital, The National Bowel Hospital. His clinical interests are human nutrition, heart burn and reflux, conditions causing alterations in bowel habits and treating abdominal pain.
He was awarded the Shire Prize for innovation in Gastroenterology in 2014 and NHS Clinical Excellence Awards 2017 and 2020.
Dr Mani Naghibi gained his medical degree at Guy’s Kings and St Thomas’ School of Medicine in London. He undertook his sub-specialty training and research at University Hospital Southampton. His Medical Doctorate was awarded on the topic of artificial nutrition for patients with cancer.
He continues his research interests into the effects of artificial nutrition in both cancer and non-cancer patients. He is a committee member of the British Society of Gastroenterology Small Bowel and Nutrition committee, British Association for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition and British Artificial Nutrition Survey.
