Frequently asked questions
Why do you do what you do?
I initially trained as a general surgeon and developed a deep interest in breast surgery because of the significant impact it can have on patients—especially those with breast cancer. It’s a field where you build long-term relationships with patients, see their progress, and help them return to normal life. I chose to practise privately so I could dedicate more time to my patients, offer them more personalised care, and use the most advanced diagnostic and treatment options available.
What are the common symptoms that your patients tend to present with?
The most common symptoms are breast pain and breast lumps. Many patients are understandably worried when they notice changes, even though most of these symptoms turn out to be benign. Nipple discharge and changes in breast shape are also frequent concerns. Additionally, I see patients seeking cosmetic procedures such as breast enlargement or reduction.
What are the treatments that you're able to offer your patients?
I offer a comprehensive service including one-stop breast clinics, where patients can have imaging and biopsy on the same day. We provide mammography, ultrasound, MRI, and CT scanning when needed. Treatment options range from minimally invasive biopsies to oncoplastic and reconstructive surgery. We also provide tailored care for benign and cosmetic conditions, and work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver the best outcomes.
What are your areas of sub-specialist interest?
I have a particular interest in oncoplastic breast surgery and reconstruction. I trained in Barcelona, Paris, and Milan in advanced Oncoplastic surgical techniques and hold a certificate in advanced breast reconstruction and Cosmetic breast surgery. I was also one of the early adopters of sentinel lymph node biopsy in breast cancer and have published research in this area. My focus is on improving cosmetic outcomes alongside effective breast cancer treatment.
