Dr Mohssen Chabok is an esteemed Interventional Cardiologist, currently serving as a consultant at the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals, as well as The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He earned his medical degree from the Tehran School of Medicine, Iran, in 2006. Following this, he moved to the UK and completed a Master's degree in Vascular Ultrasound from Imperial College London in 2010. In 2016, he became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians.
Dr Chabok's career in the UK and Ireland's private healthcare sector saw him excel as a Clinical Manager and later as a Clinical Director. During this period, he significantly contributed to medical education and cardiovascular condition screening. He also initiated key research projects in collaboration with the University of Oxford and Imperial College London, leading to the award of a PhD in Cardiovascular Medicine from Imperial College London in 2020.
His specialized cardiology training was undertaken within the North West Thames cardiology rotation, where he developed his expertise in interventional cardiology and general internal medicine. In 2018, he became an Interventional Cardiology Fellow at Hammersmith Hospital. By 2021, he was appointed as a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at both the Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals.
Dr Chabok is highly skilled in diagnosing and treating a wide range of cardiac conditions, including atrial fibrillation, angina, palpitations, hypertension, lipid disorders, valvular heart disease, heart failure, shortness of breath, dizziness, syncope, and coronary artery disease.
He is proficient in performing various medical procedures, such as right heart catheterization, implantable loop recorder insertion and removal, complex coronary interventions, angioplasty and stent placement, intracoronary imaging, ECG interpretation, echocardiography, 24-hour blood pressure monitoring, 24-hour Holter monitoring, and diagnostic angiography.
