    Mr Nicholas Thomas is a consultant neurosurgeon at the London Neurosurgery Partnership, part of HCA Healthcare UK. He has a broad clinical practice with subspecialty interests in anterior and lateral skull base surgery, including vestibular schwannoma surgery, and endoscopic pituitary and skull base surgery. His expertise extends to complex spinal surgery.

    Mr Thomas has a particular interest in treating conditions such as chordoma, chondrosarcoma, basilar invagination, pituitary tumours, craniopharyngioma, and acoustic neuroma. He also runs a national multi-disciplinary clinic dedicated to neurofibromatosis type 1 and type 2.

    Mr Thomas qualified from the London Hospital in 1988. After completing his general surgical training, he achieved the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (Glasgow) and the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (England) in 1993. His neurosurgical training took place at the Atkinson Morley Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, and the National Hospital. He further honed his skills with a year-long spinal fellowship at Ohio State University.

    In 1998, after completing the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Surgical Neurology, Mr Thomas was appointed as a consultant neurosurgeon at King’s College Hospital, London. He has since contributed significantly to the field, serving as a member of the paediatric auditory brainstem implantation team, president of the British Skull Base Society, and a committee member for the European Skull Base Society.

    Mr Thomas is a respected panel member of international workshops on endoscopic pituitary surgery and 'open' lateral skull base surgery. Since 1996, he has been involved in charitable work in Sri Lanka, lecturing and performing surgeries with local neurosurgeons at the National Hospital and Sri Jayewardenepura Hospital in Colombo.

    Outside of his medical practice, Mr Thomas has a passion for vintage cars and is a regular attendee at the Goodwood Revival.
