    Dr Nick Maisey is a highly accomplished medical oncologist and a valued member of Independent Oncology. He earned his medical degree from Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital in 1993 and achieved the prestigious Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) in 2008.

    Dr Maisey completed his specialised training in medical oncology at the renowned Royal Marsden Hospital. During his training, he received a research grant from the National Cancer Institute to conduct research at the Institute of Cancer Research in London. In recognition of his significant research contributions, he was awarded an MD in 2002 for his work on early response markers in lymphoma.

    Throughout his career, Dr Maisey has actively contributed to the field of oncology through his research endeavours. He has authored several peer-reviewed papers and has been a presenter at numerous national and international medical meetings.

    In addition to his private practice, Dr Maisey serves as a consultant in medical oncology at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Trust. He holds the position of medical director for the South-East London Cancer Network and vice-chair for the upper GI Tumour Working Group.

    Dr Maisey's clinical interests primarily focus on the systemic treatment of gastrointestinal cancers, including oesophageal cancer, gastric cancer, gastro-intestinal stromal tumours, small bowel malignancies, colorectal cancer, and carcinoma of unknown primary. He maintains active memberships in professional organisations such as the Royal College of Physicians, Association of Cancer Physicians, British Medical Association, and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
