Prof. Paul Lorigan is a distinguished Professor of Medical Oncology at the University of Manchester and an Honorary Consultant Medical Oncologist at the Christie NHS Foundation Trust. He is internationally renowned for his pioneering clinical research into new treatments for melanoma.
Prof. Lorigan graduated from Trinity College, University of Dublin in 1986, where he completed his specialist training in haematology and oncology. He began his esteemed career as an Honorary Consultant and Senior Lecturer in Medical Oncology at The University of Sheffield and Weston Park Hospital in 1996. In 2002, he joined The Christie and the University of Manchester as a Consultant and Senior Lecturer.
With a career spanning over two decades, Prof. Lorigan has made significant contributions to the field of oncology. He is a principal investigator for numerous international clinical trials and has held prestigious positions such as Chair of the UK charity Melanoma Focus and the EORTC Melanoma Group Advanced Disease Subgroup.
