Mr Pavlos Panteliadis is a Consultant Spinal Surgeon at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospitals, appointed in 2014. He specialises in complex spinal surgery, addressing a wide range of adult spinal pathologies such as degenerative conditions, tumours, infections, trauma, and deformities. His expertise extends to both adult and paediatric populations.
Mr Panteliadis initially trained as a Trauma and Orthopaedic surgeon before sub-specialising in Spinal Surgery. He completed a mixed orthopaedic and neurosurgical fellowship at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospital and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. Further honing his skills, he undertook spinal fellowships at Oxford University Hospital and Salford Royal, and gained additional experience in adult spinal deformity at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.
His clinical interests include the management of cervical, thoracic, and lumbar pathologies, such as radiculopathy, disc prolapse, herniated discs, nerve compression, myelopathy, spondylosis, and spinal instability. He is proficient in treating conditions like degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis, facet joint arthropathy, and various spinal deformities including kyphosis and scoliosis.
Mr Panteliadis is dedicated to providing comprehensive care for his patients, utilising advanced surgical techniques to improve their quality of life. His commitment to excellence in spinal surgery is reflected in his extensive training and the breadth of conditions he treats.
