Mr Acher is a Consultant Urological Surgeon. He joined the Specialist Register in 2011 after completing his training on the South Thames part of the London Specialist Registrar rotation. Mr Acher earned his PhD in prostate cancer brachytherapy from Cambridge University and was commended at the Royal Society of Medicine Young Trainee of the Year Awards in 2010.

Mr Acher's areas of expertise include general urology, urinary stone disease, urinary flow problems, and urological cancers. He has pioneered short-stay laser prostate surgery (HoLEP) for benign prostate issues, performing around 100 procedures annually. Additionally, he manages kidney stones and has established an advanced Prostate Diagnostic service that incorporates multiparametric MRI and comprehensive transperineal prostate biopsy. This service has significantly reduced infections and inconclusive results from transrectal biopsies, and is preferred by patients.

Passionate about evaluating outcomes and contributing to medical literature, Mr Acher frequently presents and teaches at international meetings, earning numerous accolades for his work. He is dedicated to ensuring that patients receive the most current and evidence-based care available.
